Padaic States
History, Location, and Official Government
- The Padaic Republic, officially, the Republic of Padaics, is a Federal Republic that follows a Semi-presidential system. It sits in the Eastern Portion of the World, around the Capital city of Pada, the namesake of the Republic, and Espen, Illemont. It came into existence July 16th, 2019, being founded by CGH_2005 as Esteria, and renamed after MattDB donated his town Pada. Espen, the State around Illemont, was the first state admitted into the Union.
- On August 20, 2019, the name was changed from the Padaic Republic to the Padaic States in order to tell apart the United Republic from the Padaic Republic/States.

Full History
Early Days
The Padaic States started after _ColinH, wanted to give running a PCB nation a try. _ColinH created the country by seceding from the United Republic and putting his state Espen into the newly formed, Esteria (Former name). President _Traivs noted that Esteria sounded very similar to Asteria although that was never the intention. MattDB joined the nation on July 16, 2019, and renamed it to the Padaic Republic after his territory Pada which was made the capitol of the nation. Matt also put Port Hylan into the newly formed republic so that it would have a warp. MattDB and _ColinH became co-presidents.
Marshia Dispute
After forming the new nation, president Travis of the United Republic started a naval base in Marshia, a territory of Usonia, which Marshy_88 claimed was his although _ColinH had started the suburban town back in May. Arguments started between the two countries about who owned the land. Travis gave a plan to split Marshia and have half in the United Republic and half in the Padaic Republic. _ColinH agreed to this as long as Travis was to build an embassy and complete it before August 18, 2019. Things were fine between the two countries for about 1 day. Later, President Travis, asked for all of Marshia just with an open border. Matt and Colin did not like those terms so more arguing insued. Eventually Colin agreed as long as Travis would discontinue, militarizing the area. After the dispute was over the two countries were getting along fine and Travis even built the Unity Bridge as a symbol of peace. Travis started building the embassy but then hauled construction. On August 16, Colin asked Travis when he planned to finish it and Travis said that he would be a little late. Colin, not thinking, decided to argue about the completion of the embassy, and after a good 30 minutes, Travis agreed to complete the embassy. The embassy remains open in Illemont today.
Copying Dispute
Later on August 28, 2019, Travis brought up that it looked like the Padaic Republic had copied him and his United Republic, although that was never the intention, although to his credit, it did seem that way. His list of reasons were and the Padaic Republics reasons for it:
- Our flag was very similar; Our flag was not copied off his it was the flag of MattDB's old town Pada, which was based off Austria's flag just blue.
- Flagpole designs were his designs; We do admit that our flags were directly based off of his.
- The Name; The name was not intended to copy the United Republic.
- Presidential Portraits; The Padaic Republic's portraits are not copying the United Republic, as they have not claimed portraits, plus the Padaic Republic's portraits were taken in a garden while the UR's were in a government building.
- States; The Padaic Republic's government was based off of the United States of America.
A Resolution to the Similarities
On August 30, 2019, MattDB resigned from Prime Minister leaving ColinH incharge. After that Colin decided to rename the Padaic Republic to the Padaic States in order to break up the similarities. The flagpole design will be changed as well, although Travis said he was okay with our similarities. Right now the United Republic and the Padaic States are at an all time best.
