(copyedit, fixing up the grammar used in the fictional history to something resembling the wikipedia style. WIP, since the later parts of the story is actually a war story and I have no idea how to make it sound wikipedia-ish)

On May 5th, 1967, during the Expo 67 in Montreal, the Canadian Prime Minister Lester B Pearson was shot in head thrice by Portland extremist Marc De Champ. Soon after, a wall was built around Portland, causing what was christened as Neo-Canada to declare independence. In 1993 the United States invaded Mexico in an nuclear war, causing the Cold War to reach it's peak, with the Soviet Union being dissolved.
