Grantville's namesake is based off of the 1632 (or Assiti Shards) book series by Eric Flint, where a north American mining town in 2000 is taken back to the middle of the 30 years war in the Holy Roman Empire. However, the city only borrows names from the series, and the PCB city proper is unique and not based on the franchise. Grantville's roads are slightly smaller than some towns, with 2 block lanes.
