Pierre Montmorency

Pierre Henry Montmorency (born June 13 1774 - April 6 1839) was a Cascadian politician who served as the 1st president of Cascadia from 1825 to 1835 and was the founder of Montmorency. He was a member and the founder of the Liberal Party. He previously served as the mayor of Melun, France from 1806 to 1811, Political Leader in Orléans from 1811 to 1820 and later in Dixieville from 1820 to 1823.

Montmorency was born in Orléans, France. His father was Henry François Montmorency (1749-1808), born in Orléans and his mother, Elisabeth Jean Gervais (1752-1821) also born in Orléans. After graduating the University of Orléans in 1797 he was for 3 years a notary in Orléans. Then he worked as a co-owner at his friend's newspaper's company: Journal du château from 1800 to 1805.
