Deneira

Location of the city

The city of Deneira is located in the Free Provinces of Nedair, in a state of semi-autonomy with The Grand Repubblic of Barcala Diuettum, as the most north-eastern province in the repubblic.

The city

The city is a blend of dutch and budapestian canals, with a massive dock. The city is still in constuction, with the starter layout almost finished.

History

The initial city was founded in the Nedairan region as a merchant port in the 1300, by some dutch merchants in search of new opportunities in the black sea. After the Great Gertian empire had taken the total control of the silk road, the city started a long period of stagnation, culminated in the annexation by the empire, until the early 1800, with the institution of the Deneiran city-state. Quickly the new city made a federation with the neighboring cities, called the Free Provinces of Nedair. The state was in relative peace for the 1800 century, but in the early 1900's the Great Gertian empire, still crumbling, tried to restore the old glories of the empire, trying to invade the federation, driving the region in a 8 year of war, between guerrilla and partisan sabotage from the federation and multiple rebels from the empire, risen in revolt to overthrow the Emperor, for the liberation of their nation. After the victory imposed by the federation, the empire collapsed completely. In the last 20 years, the federation drew close relations with the Grand Repubblic of Barcala Diuettum, becoming part of it, with high degrees of autonomy, from the central governement of the repubblic.
