'''The City of Diuetta''' was founded by MattDB in the Southwest Region of the [[Creative 1.12 Map]]. With buidling begining in Early April of 2018, until the project was ultimately delayed and restarted in Late May of 2018. Beginning with the Grand Hall of the Assembly, also known simply as the Senate of Diuetta, the city became the capital of the [[Grand Republic of Diuettium]] as of 6/11/18 (Month/Day/Year Format) joining multiple cities with initiative to form a union of builders.

With first construction starting in Early April of 2018, and current progression, the Project has mainly been centered around "The Hall", which is the Diuettan Capitol Building. Around said hall, there is a Reflecting Pool, Gardens, and a Statue of "Lady Diuetta" a national personification and symbol of the city.


Diuetta is located along the western edge of the Diuettan Sea and is approximately 1-2 kilometers from both [[Avalon]], [[Barcalos]], [[Master City]] and [[Savoie Maritime]].
The City would grow immensely and began to be recognized as an important one with the founding of the Grand Republic of Barcala Diuettium, later the Grand Republic of Diuettium, due to a rename to center the nation around the Capital on June 11th, 2018. It would become the head of multiple settlements, said to surpass the record of the Empire of Lucite on the previous map.


As is of the cities in the southwest region, Diuetta is primarily English-Speaking, though with a mix of many Romance Languages such as French, Italian, and Spanish, of which all derive from the last latin-speaking community of Diuetta.  
The project was ultimately delayed multiple times, due to the efforts of trying to complete The Hall, however, with the completion of the Exterior of the Hall, the City has progressed.

The name Diuetta (Dee-u-ett-ah) is a combination of the words Deus (Latin for God), Dio (Italian for God), and Etta (Italian suffix for small), to mean God's Little Land, or God's Little City. Being that this city is named after a deity, the ancient Diuettans were and modern Diuettans are a very religious people, in which the dominant religion is Roman Catholicism, following the beliefs of the Romans who had once controlled the area of '''Diuettius''', the ancient term for the city and region of which the Diuettans inhabited. Located at a Mediterranean Climate, Diuetta is very well suited for growing grapes, olives, and many other crops, which brought economic wealth and large numbers of imports and exports in the area. Due to the prosperity of the land, it was believed that God himself had owned the land and wanted to keep it protected, which is why it was then named God's Little Land.
The Age of Rising Civilizations... the Lands that would become the city of Diuetta were mainly unoccupied, with locals seeking to create societies like the many greats rising, from stories that were passed along dirt trails and people travelling by  boat. One of such societies that would indeed rise, were the Diuettans.


==== Beginnings of the City ====
Long ago, the House Diuelle and many other Houses of this native Peninsular land would embark on a journey in the largest boat anyone at the time had ever seen, and set sail for a new land, that would be the center of the world. They arrived at the tip of the Peninsula, free from any other Lord or Lady, King or Queen, that had sought to take away the belongings of each house for war. This Peninsular Tip,  was hilled and had forests, lots of sea surrounding it, and, after landing, was found to be over a large mine of precious ore, in which the people would use to trade and build this new city. These Diuelles sought to create a fair society, one not plagued by guilt or corruption like the many that have rose and fell whilst attempting to create a great state, and so they sought to include all in their plan to help create a large city. One villager would suggest to hold a Council at the center of the Hills, in which all the Houses of the Lands would meet and decide who would become the leader. Many lords spoke their goals, their ambitions, but only one House spoke about the others. Those people, were the House Diuelle, who told the villagers their plans to create a fair and equal society, not one marked by ambition but one marked by creation and clarity. Other Houses disliked this new style, as they saw other Kings and Queens rule with an iron fist and they sought to do the same. Lady Lucia Diuelle, the core founder and at the time head of the House Diuelle with the recent death of her father stood and spoke. She inspired the people with talks of prowess and rights, something no man in any lands had experienced at the time. ''<nowiki/>'Freedom','' she spoke ''<nowiki/>'is the idea that all of us get to live.'<nowiki/>'' , and so the crowd stood silent, until the Lord of a House rose so quickly his chair flipped, and said ''<nowiki/>'You, you the lady of the House Diuelle, you shall lead us, for we are yours. We, are your Little Diuelles, and with you as our queen, we shall be the Diuettans of this Peninsula.'<nowiki/>''  and with haste, many others followed that Lord's example, and kneeled at the feet of Lady Lucia. Lady Lucia later approached the Lord who bent the first knee to her, and asked for his name. He said ''<nowiki/>'I am Henry, I have no name, my house consists of me and myself alone.'<nowiki/>'' Lucia then said, ''<nowiki/>'No, you are Henry of the House Diuelle. From now on, you shall be the King of the Diuettans with me as the Queen.'''  and from there, Lucia and Henry would create a Kingdom that would spread and conquer the entire peninsula.
The city of Diuetta started as a colony of the Romans under the name '''Diuettius''', in respects to the Roman Gods, before being renamed after the Christian God, participating primarily as an elite state for the Empire, with the Roman senatorial authority even using it on some occassions for keeping large amounts of Roman coins and markets, military and even the castle of a Roman Emperor. As an obviously thriving city, the population grew and all Roman people knew of its existance and of how it was a "Grand City for all Romans to adore." As its people commonly travelled around the Empire, alot brought the ideals of Christianity to the city and it became one of the first cities to host the Christian religion, secretly, hidden, as the Roman Senate did not approve of the ideals at first, due to the worshippers not believing in the Emperor as a god.


==== Middle Age and Renaissance of the City ====
About five years had passed since the founding of Diuetta, and the first heir was born. He was John Pete I Diuelle, the Prince of Diuetta. Twenty nine years after the birth of the heir, Began the Peninsular unification, and Henry finally united all of the peninsula with his son, Nat. In a battle marked as the Castle Nata Conquest, also known as the Conquest of Birth, due to the birth of John's first-born, Lucia II Diuelle, Henry stepped down as King, but not before commissioning a statue of the Lady Diuetta, and the beginning of the Hall, and gives John the throne.
After the fall of Rome, the Diuettan City Government took seize of the areas around itself and established the first Diuettan Empire, in which the people of Diuettius, now renamed Diuetta had established their authority in the world. When the Dark Ages hit the city, the Plague was devastating to states around it, but due to the constant trade flow with the Byzantine Empire, many of the Diuettan Men, Women, and Children survived, with few casualties, and the city once more became a golden spot of prosperity and promise. Statues of the old Diuettan-Roman Soldiers were erected infront of the gates of the newly built wall. With the rest of the world seeking shelter due to the fall of the Roman Empire and the Bubonic Plague, Diuetta extended its reach stretching from the '''Capital Sea''' area to the edge of the '''Eastern Diuettan Sea''' '''Colony''', and additional areas such as the Manaean Kingdom which was handed over to the Diuettan throne and colonies. With many kingdoms now challenging the Diuettans for ultimate control, Diuetta re-established itself as the '''Grand Empire of Diuettium''' which lasted from 1229AD-1810AD before joining the [[Imperial Provinces of Helvetia]] in 1811AD as a full-fledged member of the Imperator's Elite Council, and a special administrative state. With the [[Imperial Provinces of Helvetia]] falling due to economic failure and internal conflict, '''the first Grand Consul (Republic Reign)''' rose up and established the [[Grand Republic of Diuettium]] on June 11th, 2018AD, with the '''Grand Council''' '''of Diuettium''' to establish a '''Constitutional Republic''' which enables the people to have more rights, and for a more prosperous form of economic and senatorial freedoms. The formation of the '''Grand Republic of Diuettium''' brought an end to the '''Diuettan Renaissance Period''' and started the '''Diuettan Grand Era''', in which economic prosperity was brought back to cities who had suffered from economic drought, and the Diuettan culture had reached its peak point as an international superpower.


The '''Diuettan Renaissance Period''' brought art, resources, and knowledge to the city, which had suffered economic and intelligence drought a bit due to the '''Dark Ages,''' however, with the corruption that had reached the Emperor himself, the Diuettans rebelled and joined Helvetia, until finally after two hundred years, going through strict reforms under '''Grand Consul MattDB''' and declaring the Republic Era, starting the '''Diuettan Grand Era''' and ending the tyranny and corruption that had so badly ruined the internal structure of the government.
Time goes on, and many heirs are born, Kings and Queens pass their throne...

About two-hundred years after the founding of Diuetta, the Hall is complete, and so is the statue of Lady Diuetta... Henry IX Diuelle, the King at the time wages a war on the northern regions. In about three months, his armies and himself, leading the front, successfully expands the Diuettan Kingdom three times its old size. These wars were named the Natalan Conquests, after the birth of Natale I Diuelle during the war aswell.
Diuetta's government is a '''Constitutional Republic''', and it has 2 year elections for its senators and governors. The Diuettans are not only a term of the city folk, but also the [[Grand Republic of Diuettium]] citizens. With multiple citizens and cultures fusing ideas, the Diuettan Society has become very culturally diverse and intelligence levels have increased exponentially due to the teachings of multiple minds and scholars of the past. It is obvious that despite the cultural fusion, the Diuettan economy and social structure increased to the point where despite some struggles, answers are found. With a large population to sustain in the capital, lots of food is imported, though some Mediterranean climate foods are grown in the vicinity of the city. With the current '''Grand Consul'''<nowiki/>'s reforms to bring road networks to the city of Diuetta, the now rebuilt city is recieving many more imports than in the past, and the economy of the city is thriving. The City of Diuetta does honor its Roman roots by putting signs such as "Senatus Populusque Diuettius" meaning Senate and People of Diuettius (Old city name).


The City's head is known as the Archduke/Archduchess, as it as an honor to be recognized as a capital head, and he/she has the ability to build authorize governmental buidlings and emergency buildings such as hospitals, police departments, senate repairs, and military related buildings.[[Category:Creative 1.12 Towns]]
