Montreux is located 4,000 meters south of 0,0 and it's highest elevation is 80 meters. An elevated rail is currently being constructed to connect the town with sspawn, but any other means of transportation is limited to sailing from the town's west, or traveling on foot or on horseback from all other directions. The town center is situated in a plains biome, located on a small peninsula surrounded by a tributary that is divided from the ocean by a slim tract of land. To the north and east is a desert and the savanna while the plains and a swamp is located to the west and to the south. Most of the land outside the vicinity of the peninsula is untouched, but has been lit with torches for the purpose of minimizing the dangers of hostile mobs. The claims of Montreux include the peninsula and the plains surrounding the land-form. The town is bordered by the desert to the north, the savanna to the east, and the ocean and the drained riverbed to the north-west and to the south respectively.
