In a plan of Jatkosotan planner Antero Hannula in 1963 he wrote "''We have to make better connections with the other nearby countries. In the case with Cascadia the problem is that you cant connect good with vehicles. You can only come there with plane".'' So they made a plan for an International highway connecting Cedarcliff with Montmorency. Only it was not approved by the government and there was a lot of criticism, till it was approved in 1965.
