The United Republic of Corallium (URC), commonly known as the United Republic (U.R. or UR) or Corallium, is a country located within the Creative 1.15 map.

History

Named for the Coral Sea that most of the nation's claims laid on, Corallium was meant to establish a maritime state, in which a capital would be based on the Island of Prima. Following the belief by its earliest founders that Prima could not sustain a major city, a new location on the mouth of the Abbaccus River was chosen, and the city would become known as Albadia. This policy would later be reversed upon the ascension of the Prime Minister of Corallium and Governor of Prima, Matthieu Enraciné, to the Presidency of the newly established United Republic of Corallium, December 19, 2020.

The nation was founded in its earliest iteration in April of 2020 as the Republica Corallium, later becoming the Kingdom of Corallium. Following the Petition for Democracy being introduced upon the Council floor directly by the Prime Minister and Governor of Prima. Following a vote and an abdication agreement by the monarch, the Kingdom transformed into its current form of government.

Organization

The United Republic of Corallium is a Presidential republic, with the President acting as the head of state and as head of government. The Vice President is the President of the Senate, and was thus responsible for coordinating policies. The United Republic consisted of several states, each headed by a Governor, all who acted autonomously but came together to build projects. The President also had the ability to appoint a cabinet to manage the affairs of the various government departments—specializing in aspects that would make projects more concise.
