The 2019 United Republic election will be held before June 30, 2019. Voters will elect a President of the United Republic and will elect political parties for the House of Representatives, and 2nd Parliament.

This election will be the first United Republic election and the first United Republic election with the new Presidential government system. Preferential Voting will be used to elect the President, with voters ranking the candidates, and the House will be elected with direct proportional representation.

The precise details of the election are yet to be announced, the election will be held digitally. It is believed that the criteria of the voter eligibility will be; 1. A premier or governor of a state or mayor of a city, or 2. A member who has built/contributed significantly to two or more buildings in any United Republic state or territory.

State governments will not be elected in this election.

Background

Currently, the United Republic is under Presidential-Cabinet emergency control. This means that the cabinet and president must decide unanimously to pass new legislation. The House of Representatives is currently suspended. Following this election, the party or parties with a majority in the House will form a government; with an agreed upon leader becoming Prime Minister. The President will be eected based on which candidate receives 50% at first, or after elimination of other candidates, and redistribution of votes.
