Edgewater is the capital city of the Grand Althea. This major city is located in the south-central region of the 1.15 Creative Map, nearest to Direwood and Anjin. The city was founded by jhd1124 with additional help from NommyFluff. Having received its warp status in February of 2022, it is one of the most recent and potentially last approved warps for the 1.15 map. The City of Edgewater is adjacent to the neighboring cities of Highwater (to the south) and Giacommo Plains (to the east). The city is inspired by a number of contemporary North American cities, including Boston, Albany, New York City, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg.

Neighborhoods
Jasmine Park
Jasmine Park is a neighborhood situated at the center of the main island, across from the Capitol Building (spawn). Major landmarks in the neighborhood include Jasmine Park, the first public park in the City of Edgewater. Also in the neighborhood are Jasmine Station, the first metro station in Edgewater, and 101 E. Station Avenue, the first residential building in Edgewater. The oldest neighborhood in Edgewater proper, it features a number of brownstones each built a different moments throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Initially a working class neighborhood, the revitalization of the underway of the Edgewater Elevated Line, which would eventually be called Jasmine Park, increased land value. The neighborhood is still medium density, with no single-family units.
Morintonne Square
Located directly north of Jasmine Park, Morintonne Square is the business/financial hub of the City of Edgewater. An underdeveloped area during the initial development boom in Edgewater, the neighborhood grew overtime as land was reclaimed from the abutting river to the North. The reclaimed land allowed for the creation of several high-rise towers. Major landmarks include the Courthouse, built in the Neoclassical style, Mortintonne Tower, which houses the Mortinonne Square Station, and the Emerald Department Store. Given its proximity to the developing Althea College, the neighborhood also features a number of late-night venues, including The B, a queer-inclusive nightclub.
Beauclair
The Beauclair neighborhood is located due south of Jasmine Park and features a mix of mid-rise residential units and high-rise commercial and office spaces. The neighborhood hosts some of Edgewater's most luxurious housing, including Beauclair Mansion, the only single-family home still in existence in Edgewater. Located next to Beauclair Mansion is Brewer's Square, named after the former brewery which set up shop in that location. Adjacent to Brewer's Square is the Southern Avenue Mall, which features some of Edgewater's finest boutiques and luxury destinations. The street features Faye's department store, the National Jewelry store, Rainbow Cinema, and the first Bank of Edgewater. Beauclair also features Edgewater's tallest building, the Singer Tower, located at the northern-most point of the Southern Avenue Mall. Beauclair is the eastern-most neighborhood in Edgewater accessible through Edgewater Avenue, a road which runs from Morintonne Square through to Giacommo Plains. As such, its nearest metro station is City Line Station, located to the east of the First Bank of Edgewater.
Tielu Island (Three Gates)
The densist and largest neighborhood by square meter, Tielu Island (Three Gates Island) is the Edgewater's bustling Chinatown and nightlife district. Boasting some of Edgewater's most celebrated restaurants and nightlife opportunities, the neighborhood was inspired by a number of Chinatowns across the United States. Featuring a combination of 20th-century American and pseudo-Chinese architecture styles, the neighborhood is adorned with flags, parks, murals, and more. Landmarks include the Dim Sum Palace, the Gem Arcade, and the neighborhood's three Paifang: The Red Gate, the Yellow Gate, and the Midnight Gate. The neighborhood also includes a number of parks and green space, including Emerald Park, Crying Tree Park, and Katana Park.
Being the most populated district has resulted in Three Gates being a major transportation hub. Three Gates station is a transfer station for riders to change from the Edgewater Elevated Line (which moves passengers between Jasmine Station and Giacommo Station West), and the Eastern Edgewater Line (which moves passengers northbound towards North Althea Station). At the present moment, it is the only neighborhood to have two stations: Three Gates Station and Katana Park Station.
North Althea (Althea College)
The newest district in Edgewater, Althea College was established in the early 1960s as a pathway for affordable, attainable higher education for the residents of Grand Althea. There are currently three structures built in the neighborhood: The Borealis Center for the Performing Arts, the Ellison Administrative Building, and North Althea Station. Future developments will include: Dormatories, Dining Halls, a library, classrooms for Liberal Arts, Mathematics, and the Pierlot School of Business. Plans to service the under-construction Berryblush Station in addition to a new station underneath the Borealis Center are in store.
